What is it that fascinates us about voiceless heroes? Link, Gordon Freeman, Pokemon Trainer Red...All of them are not exactly the most entertaining interlocutor but yet they have managed to captivate us in front of our screens for endless hours.
What? Link does talk in some games? Please, dear friend, you are not talking about "Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon", "Link: The Faces of Evil" and "Zelda’s Adventure" for Philip's CD-i, are you? Because those games don't count!
But let's move on to the actual topic for today: Super awesome Link statue. Non-speaking, of course.
This beauty from Together+ was made of PVC and shows our hero in his iconic green outfit with drawn Master-Sword and Hylian-Shield. It was lovingly painted by hand and convinces with fantastic details that make him seem almost alive. Link stands with strong pose on a fat base with TriForce imprint. Seriously, that thing is really fat.
Even the box looks great and can easily be show on the shelf. With beautiful Zelda motifs and a large window, the statue may remain even packaged and still provide plenty of glances.
Nerd-fact: Do you know why Shigeru Miyamoto chose the name Link? Well my son, the reason is the following: "Link" comes from the verb "to link" and has the intention to establish a connection between the player and the game character. To make this illusion even stronger, Link never talks in the video games and it is possible to choose your own name, by which you will be addressed in the games.
Who is your favorite silent video game hero? Write in the comments and let us know.
